HUGE FIRST...this is how you roll!

So today was your first day away from both your Mom and Dad all day. Luckily, you had your amazing cousin Abby to watch you. She is a teacher and clearly into development as she reported doing tummy time with you including a 4-5 minute session today. Your longest stretch ever! Daddy and I thought we'd give you even more practice tonight and when we did guess what happened? You ROLLED OVER for the very first time!!! Unbelievably, Daddy was recording you because your tummy times have been getting better and better and especially more noisy. Stick with the video, you can see that you get all the way rolled over! Amazing! We are sooooooo proud!

Just you and Dad

Well, the last two days have been pretty great Henry! Your mom worked two twelve hour days in a row. So, it was just you and Dad. I think I did a pretty good job! I think you think so too, for the most part. I got pretty bold on Saturday and took you to see your great aunt Mary Ellen at the Eagan Art Fair. We also went shopping for your puppy Gus because it was his birthday. We had a blast!
Best two days ever. But I think you and I are both excited that Mom has a day off tomorrow.

Dad gave you some tummy-time off.

You and great aunt Mary Ellen at the Eagan Art Fair. When we left the house it was 76 degrees out so I put  you in a sleeveless creeper. When we got there it was 66 degrees and raining. Good thing we had a back up jumper in the bag!

Uncle Nic

Henry, you had a special visitor Wednesday night and all of Thursday. Your Uncle Nic from Washington state was in town for a wedding and stopped by for a visit. We were so happy to have him and to catch up. He thought you were a "very good lookin kid." He brought you a cute onesie from Aunt Nicole and 2, homemade, wooden puzzle animals. They are very special. Thanks Uncle Nic and family! 

Happy Father's Day

If you were old enough to talk you would tell your Daddy over and over how much you love him today Henry. Your Daddy is definitely your favorite person! You give him the biggest smiles every time he looks at you. You are also very lucky because you look so much like him, and your Dad is a very handsome fella. We wonder and hope that someday you will be fortunate enough to have someone loving you so much for Father's Day too.

Every precious moment

Oh Henry, this has been mommy's last week at home with you before going back to work. Every minute has been so precious. Many hours have been spent just holding or gazing at you. We also got out a few times as a family as Dad had this week off too. We love you so much Henry! Mommy will miss you like crazy. xoxo

What have you been up to?

What a week it's been! We started this week off by spending a memorable Memorial Day at Great Grandpa Clair's house for a BBQ and then stopping by Great Grandpa Jones'. It was the first time you visited them at their houses. Though the day was hot, you seemed to have fun.The rest of the week flew by. You played, ate, slept, tummy timed, smiled, and got baths. You grow bigger by the minute! You finished off the week by hitting the Edina Art Fair. Mom and Dad thought it would be fun to go as it was practically down the street and it was such a nice day. Can't wait to see what next week brings.
