Two Months Old

This past Monday Henry was your big 2 month appt at the doctors office. You did not, I repeat, did not like your shots but otherwise the appointment went well. We got to find out just how big you've gotten. A whopping 12 pounds, 11 ounces (75% ile), and 22 3/4 inches long (50 % ile). You are growing so well and are meeting all of your milestones. Keep up the good work!

Grandma Jones came up to visit you today to take these pictures and also do a little shopping and a little lunch. Grandpa, Aunt Meredith, and cousins Brody and Brenley made the trip too. Such a fun day!!!
Everyone gathered around you to check out your smiles. Brenley called the press ;)

Your first grill out with family.

Grandma's shopping spree result: one happy Henry!

Big Trip To Grandma and Grandpa H's

At the age of 2 months and 1 day, you had your first big road trip! You, Mommy, and Dad drove all the way to Caladonia, WI to visit your Grandma and Grandpa Habeck. That's 371 miles. You traveled soooo well! We only had to stop 2 times on the way there, and 2 times on the way back for you to eat and have a little stretch. Grandma and Grandpa loved seeing you and think that you are just the cutest. You really impressed them with your sweet little temperament and your adorable smile. We will have to visit again soon, but maybe not during storm season. On the way home, we had to find a basement to keep you safe from the area tornado's going on!!! Wild.
When you weren't sleeping, you were giving Mommy big giggles and smiles on  the road.

Excited to see Grandma and Grandpa.

Little food and stretch break on the way there.

Sleeping in on Saturday after the big travel day Friday. (Don't worry, you sleep in a pack and play at the bedside. This is just how you snooze before really getting up.)

Grandma made us yummy breakfasts both mornings we were there.

We took a road trip tour of nearby Racine, Lake Michigan and Milwaukee . It was rainy so most of our tour was by car and pictures taken out of the window. This bakery is famous for it's Kringle. So famous, that President Obama visited it!

Dad and Mommy ran inside and had to pick up a famous Kringle for ourselves.

Lake Michigan

Lighthouse in Racine, on the lake.

Milwaukee, WI (though this shot was taken on the way home when it wasn't raining).

You and your Grandma and Grandpa H.

Mommy, Dad, and you, on Grandma's porch.

You and Mommy, with her Mom and Dad!

I think you were thinking, "Are we home yet ?" But you didn't cry the whole way.

Here we are in the basement of a bar/restaurant while the tornado passed by .  Mom is soaked !  Thank you Dad for getting us to some shelter. It was scary for a while there. What a trip!

Seven week Saturday

We woke up to a beautiful day today and made the most of the sunshine while it lasted. First, we woke Dad up with snuggles. Then, we watched while dad set up the deck furniture, followed by a stroller ride. We fit in a little play time too. Finally, we headed to the grocery store (your first time) to get grilling grub. You loved it! Happy 7 week Saturday!

Feels like spring!

Henry, you are 6 weeks old and the weather has finally turned. You were born during the 4th snowiest winter in Minnesota history. Though the first day of spring was March 20th (uncle Ryan's B-day), it has been pretty chilly, cloudy, and rainy so far. Yesterday, however, was just beautiful! Your friend Hendrix and his mommy met us for lunch on a patio. It was your first trip out with just you and mommy. You did wonderfully and even went 3 hours between feedings like a big boy. Later in the evening, Dad and I got you ready for bed one your little gowns (easy night time diaper access ;) and Dad pointed out something funny. Cute!
Lunch gang

Spring outfit: shorts and tee shirt (Thanks aunt Natalie). It was only 60 out so had to add long sleeve onesie underneath .

Later in the evening you played in your swing. Obsessed with the purple rhino!

You wish you could grab it.
