Uncle Sam

From last Monday night until Friday evening, Uncle Sam came to visit us from California! It was so great to see him and especially fun to see him play with you kids. We went to the MOA for some rides, visited Great Grandma on the farm in Rogers and otherwise mainly stayed on the home front as the weather continues to be, well, lets say challenging. Visit us again soon!!!

2 month Hadley and 2 year Henry

This past Monday, the family went to the doctor's office for your well baby check-ups. You both did very well and are both growing and developing very well! Mommy and daddy are so proud. Hadley, you did not like your shots at all and gave mommy the biggest lip and saddest face. We hate shots day here ;(. Henry, you sat very well for your entire exam! Unfortunately, the doctor found that you had an ear infection, and right after you were getting over your pneumonia, poor guy. 4 days and magical antibiotics later, you are almost better. Sooooo fortunate to have healthy, happy kids! Here are a few pictures of you guys together and your stats:

Hadley: 11 pounds, 15 ounces (74%ile), 23 1/2 in long(87%ile), and head 16 in (88%ile)
Henry: 28 pounds (47%ile), 36.25 inches (88%ile), and head 19.25 in (84%ile) BMI 19.75

SMILE

A few days before you turned 6 weeks old, you started to smile Hadley! Each day you smile more and more now and with your little smile and expressions come sounds like, "goo," and "ah," and you've even started to quietly, half giggle. So cute and just what we all need to see. You see, today is April 11th and instead of mommy packing up you and Henry for a trip the park, or even just a stroller ride, we are stuck in the house due to the mounds of snow falling outside! It's been a ridiculous Spring for weather. Soon enough though we'll get out there. Until then, I'm sure you will keep us all entertained with your cuteness! xoxo

Pnuemonia

Oh Henry, our poor, sick, little boy! We have been soooo careful and safe by sanitizing, hand washing, disinfecting, staying away from people that are sick and had been so fortunate up until last week. Mommy guesses that you picked up something at your second birthday. We kind of figured that would happen with 15 little kids there. What we did not expect though, is that the cold that you caught would turn into Pneumonia! Daddy took you to the doctor last Monday after you spiked a fever on Easter, and there you had to take a chest x-ray and sure enough, pneumonia  So sad, for all of us! Thank goodness for antibiotics. You are on a 10 day course now and almost better. The worst part though is that, despite mommy and daddy going crazy with keeping baby safe, Hadley now has a little cough. Newborns and sickness do not mix! There are few things in life that make mommy more sad that when you kids are sick. NOT FUN! Lets hope its the last illness that hits this house for a while.

all a little tired :(

Easter 2013

Hadleys first, and Henry's worst (?) Easter was the Easter of 2013. Henry, you loved your Easter basket from the Easter bunny and Hadley will like her little toys too, we suspect. We spent the day in Gaylord with tons of family. Hadley, you were held and fawned over, and Henry? Henry, you came down with a cold on Tuesday and on Sunday morning, spiked a fever. You hung in there for the Easter gathering but we could all tell that you weren't your normal, goofy self (more on poor sick Henry in a future post). Here are a few pictures from the day. Thanks to Keith and Amy for hosting Easter, and Hunter for the tractor, and to everyone for the company and food and candy, and to Grandma and Grandpa for the Easter baskets!

Henry's 2nd Birthday Party!!

This past Sunday, we celebrated your second birthday with a party Henry! It was at the Cambria town hall so we would have enough room for all of the people that wanted to celebrate with you. So many people came and you had such a great time! We had all of your favorites there: Mac n Cheese, M & M's, cucumbers, matoes, cheese puff corn, juice, and fruit and chips. We had trucks and balloons too! Thank you to everyone for coming and for all of the amazing gifts and thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for all of the help!!!
you blew out the candles by yourself!
